I've done The Zone before, and it's actually the only "diet" that I've ever really liked. It seems to be the simplest one I've come across, the recipes are easy and delicious and pretty common sense. And it's a lot of food. Basically, you get yourself a portion of protein about the size and thickness of the palm of your hand, fill up most of the rest of your plate with veggies and fruit, and add a dash of good fats -- nuts, avocado, olive oil -- to help absorb nutrients and add flavor. I've decided to start doing it again, I need something to keep my butt in line as far as what I'm eating. I've been really dissapointed with my performance lately, I haven't been doing very well at all, and actually, joining this message board is part of that. I need all the help I can get to stay motivated.
